The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta, Red Deer Chapter, would like to thank the Rotary Club of Red Deer for its recent donation of $12,000.00!! This funding will be used to renovate our Drop-In Centre, so that we can provide top-notch programs and support services to individuals and families living with schizophrenia and other severe brain disorders. In partnership with the our national and provincial organizations, we are committed to:

  • Support and education of families and individuals living with this devastating and life-changing illness
  • Provide access to crisis intervention for families and individuals affected by schizophrenia or other related mental illnesses
  • Promote public awareness of schizophrenia, thereby reducing discrimination and stigma, through free educational services
  • Advocate for improved mental health services within Central Alberta
  • Support research into schizophrenia locally, provincially and nationally
  • Provide stability for society services in Central Alberta through fundraising
